Due to the multidisciplinary nature of tourism anthropology, IJTA encourages manuscripts from interrelated disciplines – including ethnography, ethnics, archaeology, economics, politics, psychology, sociology, management science, geography, ecology, history, and philosophy – in order to publish original, high-quality and cutting-edge research on all aspects of tourism anthropology and to offer a new, integrated perspective of the field. The journal seeks to establish channels of communication between academic and research experts, policy–makers, and executives in the tourism industry and related businesses and institutions.
