Die Zeitschrift für Papyrologie soll dazu helfen, rasche Publikationen und anschließend rasche Diskussion neuer Texte möglich zu machen.
Das Prinzip der Altertumsforscher ist meistens: "Wir beschäftigen uns mit dem Alten Wahren", und wir erkennen das an, stellen aber daneben den Satz: "Wir suchen auch das Neue und Interessante".

Fragments will provide a forum for dialogue and exchange between scholars in all fields of the humanities and social sciences who study the premodern world. The journal encourages scholars to engage issues of broad interest to colleagues working in other places and times, and to pursue comparative and connective approaches in investigating the past. The editors also invite scholars to explore interdisciplinary approaches to evidence and analysis, such as those that synthesize the insights of textual scholarship and archaeology, or history and sociology. We also welcome articles that introduce methodologically innovative approaches to the shared challenges of interpreting and understanding bodies of premodern evidence that are distinct in kind and quantity from the evidence of the more recent past. The broadest aim of Fragments is to transcend fragmentation: to foster research that overflows the boundaries of various well-established and vital traditions and generates new, integrated ways of thinking about the premodern past.

The new journal Almagest considers the history of science both as a history of ideas and as an activity that takes place in institutional and social context. In discussing the history of scientific ideas, the journal addresses the philosophical assumptions underpinning the ideas as well as the scientific developments themselves; it also addresses the influence of the historical context on these ideas.
One of the defining features of the journal's approach to the history of science is the belief that the history of scientific ideas, of research priorities, of conceptualizations of nature, and of the various external factors that are associated with scientific discoveries are deeply related to History, generally construed, and to cultural and socio-economic parameters. Following this approach, the journal invites papers on the history of scientific ideas in specific regions or related to a specific cultural context (for example, papers on science and religion). It also invites papers on the relations of scientific ideas to the material civilization, in particular to scientific instruments.
It is a firm belief of the editorial board that history of science can contribute substantially to the scientific education of both students and the general public, especially at a time when debates over "intelligent design" are raising major questions not only over what counts as science but also on what ought to be available to students in their school curricula. The journal, therefore, invites also papers on the utilization of history of science in science education.
Last but not least, Amagest is edited by the network of history of science of Southeastern Europe, and therefore it aims to constitute a forum for the historians of science in Southeastern Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean.

"Fondata nel 1988 da Giovanni Tarditi, "Aevum antiquum" è una rivista di filologia classica. Nella nuova serie, inaugurata del 2001, ogni numero è diviso in due sezioni. La prima ("Forum") è incentrata attorno ad un tema unitario, un testo, un autore, un'idea della cultura antica greca o romana, e ospita un articolo base seguito da una discussione a più voci, o, in alternativa, gli atti di un convegno di particolare interesse. La seconda sezione ("Convivium") consiste in una serie di articoli di diversi autori relativi a specifici problemi posti dai documenti delle letterature classiche. Il Forum di ogni numero è dedicato, ad anni alterni, ad un tema greco o ad uno latino.
