Hortus Artium Medievalium is the annual journal of the International Research Center for Late Antiquity and Middle Ages (Motovun, Croatia), established in 1993. The journal has a particular interest in studying artefacts for the history of art, and to study the period from Late Antiquity to the end of the Gothic period in an interdisciplinary, international and diachronic fashion. An annual colloquium gathers appropriate specialists, from which the papers are drawn.

Mediaeval Studies is the annual journal published by the Pontifical Institute of Mediaeval Studies. It was established in 1939 and from the outset its purpose has been the publication of research on the Middle Ages by scholars throughout the world, particularly research involving unedited manuscript and archival material. Most volumes are divided into three sections: Texts includes extensive editions with substantial introductions; Articles includes studies based on unedited or edited documents and texts and also includes studies of other monuments of medieval culture; Mediaevalia consists of notices or short articles on specific documents or topics. The archaeology of the Middle Ages and the Modern Period in the Low Countries is flourishing more than ever. This new effort produces a wealth of evidence, new interpretations and interesting perspectives on themes of international interest, such as rural development, the rise of the town, material culture and European expansion overseas. The initiative was taken to create a new international journal on the archaeology of the Middle Ages and Modern Period in the Low Countries (Belgium and the Netherlands). The journal contains reflexive, interpretative and synthesizing articles as well as publications of important datasets and a review section. Contributions in English, French and German are accepted and the journal is also open to foreign authors. We do not consider archaeology as a closed field of its own, contributions from historians, historical-geographers, numismatists, place-name specialists, architectural historians etc. are welcome as well if related topics are dealt with.

Peritia is devoted to the advancement of medieval studies in the broadest sense of that term (albeit from an insular perspective), including history, languages, law (canon and secular), archaeology and the ancillary disciplines. It is especially strong on Insular Latin, computation, and paleography, and it has carried notable contributions on hagiography, art history and archaeology, literature, Irish vernacular law, and the history of the later Middle Ages. It has a lively and wide-ranging review section.

It was and remains an interdisciplinary journal for studies of European history and literature from Late Antiquity through to the Reformation. The journal also features articles in related fields such as archaeology, art history, linguistics, musicology and philosophy. Nottingham Medieval Studies is published as a single annual volume. Starting with volume LIV (2010) Nottingham Medieval Studies is published by Brepols, with Dr Julia Barrow as editor and Dr Joanna Martin as deputy editor. Contributions on all aspects of medieval studies are welcome.

European Medieval Drama

European Medieval Drama is an international project which seeks to promote the study of medieval drama in its performance aspect, to develop the study of drama in languages other than English and to set English drama in its European context. The journal also includes: translations into modern English of medieval plays in other languages, notices relevant to members of SITM, and information of interest to all scholars in the field of medieval drama (e.g. recently-published books, forthcoming conferences, and occasional book-reviews). The Advisory Board is made up of 12 - 15 distinguished scholars, chosen to represent the full range of specialisms with the general field of medieval drama.
