Hathor – Studies of Egyptology 69 followers Hathor – Studies of Egyptology and Oriental Studies – Journal of Oriental and Ancient History publications, which are now presented to the public, aims to correspond to two different but complementary aspects in the research of Ancient History. Hathor – Studies of Egyptology focuses exclusively in the studies of ancient Egypt and the influence exerted by this civilization on other contemporary or later peoples and cultures. Hence, it doesn’t have any fixed chronological barriers. What truly determines the activity sphere is the relevance of the theme. Oriental Studies - Journal of Oriental and Ancient History widens its field to all ancient world, from Pre-Classical civilizations such as Egypt, Mesopotamia, Hebrews, Hittites, etc, to Classical civilizations such as Greece and Rome. Here too, naturally, it is intended that the vision about the history of these realities isn’t confined to a particular time frame, being privileged the continuities and the structural archetypes. With these two publications is intended, firstly to meet the aspirations of a national audience, broader and demanding by the day and, secondly to consolidate its role in the international scientific community. Editor Prof. Doutora Maria Helena Trindade Lopes Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas – U.N.L. Egyptian Archaeology 91 followers Between 1987 and 1990 the Egypt Exploration Society (EES) published a 'Newsletter', scanned copies of which are now available here. The 'Newsletter' was so well-received by members that in 1991 the EES started publishing a colour magazine to present EES and other fieldwork and research in Egypt to members and other readers in an attractive, easy-to-read and well-illustrated format. Originally EA appeared annually, was only 32 pages long and only partly in colour. It proved to be very popular and since 2000 the magazine has been published twice a year - in spring and autumn - and each issue has 44 full-coloured pages.
