For nearly fifty years, History of Religions has set the standard for the study of religious phenomena from prehistory to modern times. History of Religions strives to publish scholarship that reflects engagement with particular traditions, places, and times and yet also speaks to broader methodological and/or theoretical issues in the study of religion.

Fondée en 1929 par March Bloch et Lucien Febvre, les Annales illustrent, au-delà de ce prestigieux héritage, la recherche historique dans ce qu’elle a de plus innovant. Nouveaux domaines de la recherche et histoire comparée, ouverture sur les aires culturelles et réflexion épistémologique, signatures prestigieuses et jeunes historiens définissent l’esprit des Annales, revue d’histoire par excellence, dont le rayonnement est international. Au-delà de la discipline historique, les Annales jouent un rôle important dans le champ des sciences sociales et sont le lieu privilégié d'un dialogue raisonné entre les différentes sciences de l'homme. Une large place est également faite à l’examen de la production scientifique récente sous forme de comptes rendus (200 par an) et d’analyses approfondies des ouvrages les plus marquants.

Studia Asiatica was founded in 2000, being the first new Romanian journal of Asian studies, after the collapse of Communism (1989). The aims of the founders of the Journal were to walk in the footsteps of the previous generations of Orientalist scholars. Studia Asiatica is a generalist journal, welcoming studies in Asian religious history, culture, folklore and civilisation. Being a forum of international debate, Studia Asiatica is issued in five important languages (English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish). Its contributors come from mainstream academic institutions in Europe, the USA, Asia and elsewhere.
